Game Update 2 for Planetside 2 will be released on 30 January 2013 as announced by Matt Higby, Senior Developer of the game for Sony Online. Highlights of the upcoming patch include:
- Performance increases, particular for older GPU’s
- Experience system enhancements – players with a higher kill count are worth far more than players with very low kill counts
- Server transfer tokens will become available in the Depot
- UI improvements
- New weapon, SMG, for all factions
The team over at SOE remains very positive about the state of the game and committed to frequent and open communication with the player base.
