Bioware has announced the cross platform revival of Ultima Online, Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar. The game is currently accepting beta applications. The game will be available on the PC and the IPad and will be free! The game is designed for the solo adventurer or up to small parties of 4 players. Players can choose to play as a Fighter or Mage. The new title is not an attempt to recreate Ultima Online, which frankly would be impossible, but an attempt to revitalize the franchise with fresh content and a fun romp through Britannia. The game is currently in Alpha testing with a group of hardcore Ultima fans.
