Lord of the Rings Online patch notes for Update 9: Against the Shadows have been released. Here are the highlights of those notes, as usual actual patch notes can be found here:
- Yule Festival 2012 is now live
- Iorbar’s Peak, Seat of the Great Goblin, and Webs of the Scuttledells are the three new instances now available
- Moira Revamp Part II is now complete
- Bree and Archet have received graphic updates/upgrades
- Changes have been made to combat all relevant details can be found here
- Open tapping and remote looting is now available throughout Middle Earth
- “For those wishing to disable experience gain, a new pocket item is available in the LOTRO Store that will disable all XP gain while equipped. Other advancement, such as deeds and reputation, are unaffected.”
- Stable master functionality and interface have been changed
- There are class specific changes included in the more detailed patch notes
- The Document of Mount Ownership and Race Tokens are no longer required for festival mounts, there is now a new currency Golden Festival Token
- PvMP changes have occurred
- Crafting updates
Servers should be back online shortly, so a Merry Yule Festival to all.
