Star Wars: The Old Republic is releasing a major PvP patch overnight, Game Update 1.6 Ancient Hypergate. When game servers come back online 11 December 2012, there will be a new PvP battlefield and six new heroic space missions.
- New battlefield: Ancient Gree Hypergate – 8v8 battlefield
- Level 50 players will find six new heroic space missions, per faction
- PTS reports are that these missions are extremely difficult even with the best gear possible outfitted on your ship
- Successful mission completion awards Blackhole Commendations

- Battlemaster PvP gear is will no be longer attainable in game
- New PvP vendors will be added with Elite War Hero gear

- Ship Upgrades to Grade 7 ranging from 350 – 550 Cartel Coins

- Fireworks in celebration of First Anniversary ranging from 50 – 300 Cartel Coins
- Grade 7 Artifact quality ship enhancements are available from Fleet and Mission Support vendors
